Assistant Principal
Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our experienced Senior Leadership Team for a driven and ambitious educator who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. Working alongside experienced senior leaders, you will play a key role in improving teacher classroom practice and leading the implementation of curriculum and assessment changes across the school.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is eager to grow their leadership capability within a well-established and supportive senior leadership environment.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Would suit a current Head of Faculty
- Be able to teach senior Science to scholarship level
- Hold a current New Zealand teaching registration with the New Zealand Teaching Council
- Have a strong understanding of the NCEA qualification framework and curriculum design
- Demonstrate a commitment to raising student achievement and improving teacher practice
- Be a collaborative, forward-thinking leader with excellent interpersonal skills

School Counsellor
Description
We are excited to welcome an experienced and dedicated School Counsellor to our Hauora team. This is a rewarding and varied role within a large secondary school environment, where no two days are the same. You will be joining a team that is genuinely passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people, utilising your expertise across individual counselling, advocacy, family work, and group therapy.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing a large caseload with skill and composure, and responding effectively to the diverse and complex needs of our students.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Hold current NZAC (New Zealand Association of Counsellors) registration
- Have proven experience in counselling adolescents
- Be skilled in managing and prioritising a large caseload
- Have experience across individual counselling, advocacy, family work, and group therapy
- Respond effectively to the diverse needs of students in a large secondary school setting
- Be a collaborative and compassionate team player
