Our Location
Howick College is situated in Auckland's eastern suburbs, approximately 30 minutes from the city centre by car or ferry. Auckland is New Zealand's largest and most diverse city, with stunning beaches, parks, and hiking trails right on your doorstep.
Howick itself is a safe, relaxed community with beaches, sports and cultural clubs, shopping, cinemas, and parks all nearby - a wonderful place to call home during your time in New Zealand.

Our International team is a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated group of professionals who are passionate about ensuring every international student feels welcome, supported, and at home at Howick College.
From your very first enquiry through to the completion of your studies, our team is here to guide and support you every step of the way - academically, personally, and culturally. We look forward to getting to know you and being part of your New Zealand journey.

Lisa Crossley, leads and manages the school’s international programme, ensuring high-quality academic and pastoral support for students. She oversees orientation and induction processes, helping students integrate successfully into school life in New Zealand. The Director works closely with students, families, and education agents, building and maintaining strong relationships to support recruitment and engagement. She also ensures the programme meets all requirements of the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice (The Code), while contributing to marketing initiatives that promote the school’s international offerings.

Lara Winchester, supports international students in achieving academic success during their time at the college. She assists with timetables and course changes, monitors attendance and academic progress, and provides guidance on academic pathways. Lara also supports students with any academic concerns and works closely with teachers to ensure communication is clear and information is shared effectively. She provides additional pastoral support to help students feel confident and well supported in their learning.

Eva Weber assists the Director of International Students with marketing, agent engagement, and fostering strong relationships with students, parents, and education agents. She supports student recruitment processes, coordinates online interviews, and helps ensure a seamless experience for students, families, and agents, while maintaining compliance with the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice.

Sarah Bartrom is responsible for the smooth running of the International Office. She processes permission-to-travel forms for both EOTC activities and tours, develops and implements the end-of-year programme, oversees student enrolments, and assists the Director of International Students with the orientation and induction programme. Sarah ensures administrative processes run efficiently and supports students, staff, and families for a seamless experience.
Maryna Truter & Sarsha Baker manage the placement and support of international students in safe, welcoming homestay environments. They coordinate airport meet-and-greet arrangements, oversee homestay moves when required, and carry out compliance and monitoring visits. Working in accordance with The Code, they ensure high-quality homestay families are selected and that student safety and wellbeing remain the top priority.

Romy Alexas manages the administration of the international programme, including processing enrolments, issuing offers of place, and managing invoicing. She oversees student visa documentation, homestay payments, and insurance administration. Romy also supports communication with families and agents, maintains student records, and ensures key documentation and processes are managed accurately and efficiently.
