Head of Learning Area – Science

We are seeking a passionate leader to head our Science Department to shape the direction of science teaching and learning across junior and senior levels.

Full-time, Permanent
Start date: Term 1 2026

In leading our dedicated science team, the successful candidate will:

Have strong NZ curriculum knowledge
Work to improve student outcomes through evidence-informed practice
Be able to inspire both students and colleagues
Be committed to collaborative practice and professional growth
Support Howick College’s values and contribute positively to our school culture.
