  • From Year 11, students choose six subjects and are assessed through the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) - New Zealand's primary qualification, recognized internationally.

  • Students earn credits by meeting standards in each subject through internal and external assessments. To gain an NCEA Certificate, students need 60 credits at each level. There are three NCEA levels, typically completed from Years 11 to 13, though students can take more than one year per level.

    Guide to NCEA
  • We encourage all students to achieve NCEA with Merit or Excellence endorsements, which recognise consistently high performance. Students can receive endorsement certificates at each level and in individual courses.

  • At NCEA Level 3, students who meet specific credit requirements in approved subjects, plus literacy and numeracy standards, gain University Entrance qualification.
