Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and innovative Teacher of Mathematics to join our large and collegial Maths department. This role includes the opportunity to serve as Teacher-in-Charge of Junior Curriculum Mathematics, making it a fantastic stepping stone for someone looking to grow their leadership experience.
This position may suit a range of candidates, including first-year teachers or those with intermediate training and experience. You will be joining a department where collaboration and professional growth are highly valued, with generous professional learning opportunities, ongoing mentoring, and access to additional resources to ensure you thrive in your role.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Hold a current New Zealand teaching registration (or be in the process of applying)
- Hold a teaching diploma or equivalent qualification
- Have a strong understanding of the new New Zealand Mathematics Curriculum
- Have knowledge of the Numeracy co-requisite standards
- Be passionate about making a difference in students' mathematical learning
- Be a collaborative team player who values professional growth
- Hold high expectations for both student achievement and personal professional practice
