Tag Football

Howick College Tag Football is a new sport based on tournament-to-tournament competitions. Tag is an exciting, safe and minimal contact oval ball game for all ages, abilities and fitness level of both boys and girls’ players.

Tag tournaments Howick College enters are run by College Sport Auckland. Senior Tournaments are held during term one and Junior tournaments during Term 4. Then each of the zone events are followed by Auckland Champs, which Howick College on a regular basis makes.

Coaching these teams, we are often led by our amazing tag players that just puts their hand up to take the lead. The Senior team is player coached and the Junior is coached by a few of our Senior players. Without these students showing the commitment to tag we would not be as successful as Howick College is.
