FREE CHILD CARE SERVICE
 
This will be available at for children (1 – 8 years) of parents and teachers in T block- Room T6 during the interviews. This service will be run by our experienced ECE students in a formal, well supervised and supportive environment.
We have 4-5 experienced Year 12 ECE & 13 ECE students rostered each hour. Parents will be asked to fill in a sign in/out sheet. There will be plenty of educational resources made by the students to play with. Teachers will be popping in periodically to check
on them.

BBQ AND BAKESALE
 
The Premier Netball and Rowing teams will be running a bbq (sausages and steak sandwhiches) and bakesale on both nights under the covered area at the front of H Block. 
 
 

Koanga Festival - Friday 30 August 2019

Howick College,  in conjunction with Cockle Bay Primary School, is proud to host the 2019 Koanga Festival on Friday 30th August.

 

The Festival, which was first held in 1991at Macleans College, was established to strengthen and maintain the importance of kaupapa Maori in the Eastern suburbs and celebrates tikanga Maori through Kapa Haka performance. Howick College is excited by this opportunity  to strengthen ties with our community and local iwi and to showcase the talents of our own Kapa Haka group, lead by Whaea Evelyn Leef.
 
There will be 45 groups from 41 different schools in the Howick/Pakuranga area participating in the festival with events taking place across three venues: the Howick College gymnasium, the Bill Dimery Performing Arts Centre (Howick College) and the Cockle Bay School Hall.
 
The opening Powhiri will be held at 10:00am in the Howick College gymnasium followed by the first performance at 11:00am.
 
Food and drink will be for sale from various stalls on site.
 
Entry is by koha.
