The two Emilys with More Than Me, the owlet they created
Wednesday, 28 February 2018

Howick College students Emily Burr and Emily Bennett have created a wonderful owlet as part of the school section of the Big Hoot public art trail. Sculptures of owls have been designed by Kiwi and overseas artists and are now on display around Auckland until 6 May.

Howick College's owlet is on display at Sylvia Park, near the Country Road store. We encourage you to visit and enjoy some of the amazing artworks created by local students. If you spend $20 at the mall, please visit the Customer Service and vote for your favourite (HC of course!) and help the school to WIN $2,000.

At the end of the Big Hoot, the large artworks will be auctioned to raise funds for the Child Cancer Foundation, and the smaller owlets will be returned to the schools to enjoy. More information about the Big Hoot is available here. You can also download an art trail map to find the owls scattered around the city.
