Sir Peter Blake Leadership Week

Last week the school celebrated Sir Peter Blake Leadership Week with a week packed with events. The theme for the week was #believeyoucan and we certainly believe our students can!

Two special guests spoke to assemblies, inspiring the students with their personal stories. Both encouraged the students to believe in themselves and work hard to achieve their goals. Tina Porou is the Head of Sustainability, Environment and Communities for Contact Energy and Peter Hoskin is the Northern Region Communties Programme Manager for St John's.

Students nominated by their peers recieved Sir Peter Blake Trust red socks at the assemblies. Congratulations to these students, and the students nominated by teachers for the Red Sock Honours board display.

Other events included quizzes held during tutor time and an instagram competition. Year 10 students also had the opportunity to 'shadow' a House leader for a day. The week concluded with a special assembly for staff, where an art piece was presented to acknowledge their contribution as leaders within the school. The artwork will be installed in the reception area next term.

Thank you to the House Leaders and Mrs Sundru for their hard work orgainising the week events and encouraging leadership!
