Howick College offers the National Certificate of Educational Achievement NCEA) and has strong achievement rates in Literacy and Numeracy across all year levels.

We hold an information evening each year where the process of gaining NCEA credits and passes is explained.  Parents are invited to attend the 2013 NCEA Information Evening in the Howick College Theatre, Monday 15 April at 7.30pm.

This evening is open to parents of students at any stage of their high school education and should be particularly helpful to:

  • parents or caregivers of senior students involved in NCEA for the first time
  • parents or caregivers who wish to prepare their junior students for NCEA in future years
  • those who are unsure about Literacy and Numeracy requirements
  • parents or caregivers who would like some basic strategies to help prepare their child for success in NCEA
  • those who would like clarification of issues related to University Entrance
  • any members of our community who would like to know more about NCEA
