We do not arrange private exchanges. All exchanges must go through accredited organisations. Contact the Careers Office if you want to know more about going on an exchange from Howick College. 

The School offers the following international youth exchange opportunities:

1. Rotary Twin Exchange - to Australia for term 2 - "twin" is brought back to N.Z. for term 3. For Year 10/11 students.

2. 6/12month Exchanges for 16-18 year olds are available to:-

Most countries in Europe	Scandinavia
Brasil and Argentina	Japan

3. USA Summer camps

• Opportunities are available for 18 year olds to work in these camps during the American summer (June to August)

4. Gap Scheme

• Opportunity for 18 year-olds to work as volunteers in schools, caring organisations, outdoor eduction centres, etc. in the UK . 5 – 12 month placements available.
• Food, accommodation and reasonable monetary allowance provided.

5. Four-week GAP experience at the NZ Queenstown Resort College which includes adventure activities and an Outward Bound course.
